I can remember being in my pram, on my back, parked outside my man's house.
I was furious because no one was paying me any attention and all I could see was the brick gable end of the house and the blue sky above it.
Must have been really little as I couldn't sit up unaided or I would have been out of that bloody pram!

I was rushing through this long thin tube, then suddenly I crashed into a blobby round thing. Somehow I found myself inside the blob and heading for the central core, and then thi ngs started to get interesting... |

Around age 4 moving house. Those who can remember before 3 are you sure they are memories or just recalling events? Didn't think it was possible due to the way the child's brain develops. Intetesting to hear your evidence for otherwise. |

"True story.
Asking my mum whether there was something wrong with me because my willy kept getting big. I was 5.
Never got an answer, still don’t know why? "
You still don't know why it keeps getting bigger or why she didn't answer you? |

My dad making my sister and I our bottles. It wasn't milk but Milo. We were sat on the floor and the radiogram was playing. I can't see my dad's face just his legs: light blue trousers with turn ups and winkle pickle shoes...God, that was about 55 years ago! |

I'm sure it's a memory. Nobody would have told me I was laying on the floor looking at a giant animal. They would have told me I was looking at a cat. I only realised it was a cat later in life when I recalled the memory and identified the animal. |

A very early memory and being very young but not sure how young was a very low fly past of Concorde in it's early test flight days before it went into full service. Just remember looking up and thinking wow as it flew directly over head! |

I was 4, my little brother was born and I asked my Aunty what his full name was and I kept saying it over and over again. I then remember him being in a bouncy chair when I got home from nursery. Photos suggest I met him in hospital but I don’t recall this at all |

Watching my Dad dive off the diving board at the outdoor swimming pool in New Brighton and running to the swimming pool and jumping in. I couldn’t swim at the time. But still managed to get to the side just as my Grandad was about to jump in to save me. Age 18 months old |

But at 9 months old the hippocampus isn't fully formed so how can the memory be stored? Genuine question cos I can't remember anything before 4 years old. I recall stuff I have been told happened like getting stuff in my pram but I don't actually remember it. |

Anyone who knows me will tell you my memory is crap. Barely remember conversations I had last week, couldn’t tell you what I ate yesterday.
So nothing remembered really from age 10-11.
A cat scratched me.
Although I have one memory very young maybe 6 but unsure if it happened when I hid with my dad. |

just trawling through google sites on early memory, seems many can remember from age 3+ but some can have 'snapshot memories' from 6 months...which seems to be what some on here saying ,especially trauma related.. interesting . |

It is. And there is so little known about the brain. So much research is needed in this area. Who knows what will come to light in the future. |

I remember crying when my sister was born. I was adopted and i thought my parents would not want me anymore. I was 6. They put my mind at rest and my mum and dad promised to always love me. Which they did. Both gone now but still in my thoughts.
Sister was a nightmare. Lovely... but god she was bossy. |

No idea. I just know I remember it. I know I was at my grandmother's and I saw a big animal. Recalling it later as an image I realised it was a cat.
I have other early memories too from around two years old but that is the most vivid. |

That's possibly what mine are. I don't recall a whole sequence of events but an image of place, sensation and emotion.
Our adult son is needle phobic, I put that down to him having had blood tests as a baby and having to be held down for the nurse to do it. |

Was born in the West of England, and was told how my grandfather would feed me things he shouldn't when walking round a local park, was Aprox 18 months when we left.
When about 11 we passsed through this town on route to going on holiday passing the above mentioned park, I enquired was that the park etc etc? Why...?. It was exactly how I had imagined it when told of my grandfather's antics...
It actually was... The same park |
