What do you miss from the 80s/90s?

Waking up on Saturday morning watching Going Live while eating your cornflakes. Meeting your mates in town to go play Street Fighter 2 down the Arcades.

North Bucks

The Fun Factory and WWF on a Saturday morning.

Carefree and only worried about doing my homework

"Everywhere seemed less "stabby". "

I know a song about that!...

Run your mouth when I'm not around

It's easy to achieve

You cry to weak friends that sympathize

Can you hear the violins playing your song?

Those same friends tell me your every word

Is there no standard anymore?

Going out to play in the holiday with only one rule...

"don't be back too late".

That gave us license over the fields from 9 in the morning till the evening, possibly popping back for lunch if we were really hungry.

Yeah I used to stay out all day. Sometimes for days. Camping up the mountain...

Yeah was saying that the other day. Used to go to my nans to watch it. She loved it, she used to shout at the tele. Not as much as when Maggie Thatcher was on tele mind. She hated her!!!

But I do miss FUN HOUSE! And number 73 and wacka day and swilly roast ( roast chicken) land of the giants and lost in space.

Going to play in the woods and building dens. Crisp sandwiches. Getting 20p to go shop for my neighbour ( auntie val, even though she wasn’t my auntie) and being grateful!

"Nothing. My childhood was crap. "

Mine was a bit too. A crap father. Violent alcoholic step fathers and far too many family members with mental health issues....

But, still miss being a kid. Having hugs from my mum....

Absolutely as above.

But also the invincibility of youth. In the wars one minute then back out playing the next.

Believe it or not! My dad watching Grandstand and making me and my brother sausage sandwiches with mustard ( at 9 yrs old) hating it but actually, looking back, miss it a lot!
