I think that Ireland are going to bounce back and give Scotland a bit of a drubbing, I think the gap will be about 20 points.
England will run away with the game in the last 20 minutes, it will be a very intense and bruising match.
Wales will decimate Italy.
This weeks fixtures have the potential to be the most lacklustre of the year as its the three top teams against the bottom 3, going with form and expectation they will all be rather one sided affairs. |

Morning sports fans
Scotland Ireland could be the game of the weekend. There’s obviously potential for an Irish backlash from last week but I get the feeling it’ll be a close affair with the Irish eventually grinding out a win in the last quarter.
Wales with an almost totally different lineup could be anything from 15-50 points better than Italy who were very poor last week.
I’m hoping the England France game on Sunday is a try fest of beautiful flowing rugby from both sides with us pulling away in the second half to a 10-20 point win.
*warning, cheesy cliche incoming*
As always with this tournament...
Rugby’s the winner!! |

Last time Ireland visited Murrayfield we gave them a hiding ..
Hoping for same again, but agree Ireland are on the rebound of an unfortunate defeat.

Scotland’s first half was fantastic . Second half no intensity
Basic mistakes turned in to bonuses for Ireland.
I think Scotland deserved a losing bonus point as the game for a good chunk was close.
One positive is that Scotland will be above Ireland in the table

A bunch of other officials reviewed footage to help him award the penalty try, so can't really argue with that. Agree for the slap though, should have awarded a stint in the bin for that. |

It’s alright for tomorrow cos it’s going to be a dry day by all accounts but if I was paying upwards of £200 for a ticket and it was raining, I’d be pissed off sitting in the stands getting rained on when we have a roof that could cover us.
I don’t even understand why people object to the roof being closed anyway it’s not like the roof wins games it’s the players. It’s just an English superstition now that they’ll have a repeat of 2013 when they lost 30-3. It had nothing to do with the roof, it’s a completely different England side now, they’ll play as good or as bad as they would if the roof was open or closed.
If I was the owners of the stadium I’d have the roof closed one day and then say oops the mechanism is fucked. Can’t open it again. Would make for a nice cosy warm stadium to watch the game, would keep the pitch dry in the process. |

Away we go
going back to the finn russell thing... i know why the clubs have a weekly round between the international sets.... but i am sure the nations gave a steer to clubs to leave out certain players... for example in the pro 14 i am sure leinster and munster left out their irish internationals... premiership clubs left out england internationals and so on....."
Yes definitely. Perfect example of when the policy of selecting national based on where you play your club rugby really works well. England and Ireland follow that policy . Scotland and Wales don’t, and as they lose their stars to the money clubs then also lose the ability to game manage them.
Knew this would happen when the SRU didn’t stump up enough cash to keep Russel in Scotland

but then i would say that french clubs don't spend the money they have well... so instead of investing in french youth like the under 20's, they spend money on kiwi's and saffers....
the french have the problem the english had a few years ago....too much money and not spending it wisely...
actually the other thing i think the scots could so with is a 3rd regional team if they can get the success of glasgow and edinburgh to continue..... |

That didn’t work in the early days of the professional era.
SRU have now adopted a semi professional set-up - the “super six” - which will hopefully start to make a difference |

Anyone counting what the score would have been had the TMO not been involved |

How unlucky can the French team be, that was a great try, shame about the knock on |

Scotland’s game really being challenged - not difficult really as it seems to have gone to the wall |

I’m not sure what has happened to them, France are up for it but Scotland should be all over them, they are lucky that the scoreboard says what it says |

It wasn't the best performance from Scotland, too many schoolboy handling errors. |

Smashed by the better side. What were those tactics all about England? Still think we'll win the 6 nations. |

What a result and I as a Welshman put England to win but I'm so proud of our team for the win.
I think England are awesome and I still think they will bounce back from this even stronger.
Never underestimate the importance of team spirit...wales has plenty of it and I see big things ahead for them. |
