"Well I have a park run in 30 minutes. Then coffee with a friend. Really wanting to find something exciting. Any hobby ideas?"
You're 39 and you havent learnt how to entertain yourself?

A little harsh! But got your point. Funnily enough I do know how to entertain myself but looking for ideas for something new to switch from the same routine. |

Take up a sport. How do you get interested in things? From watching someone do it? Or just a hunger to learn about something?
Start discovering the area around you. Go on trecks or days out with people.
I’m doing a date night tonight. We do this regular but to stop it from being boring, we mix up what we’ll do. It’s drinks, board games and music this week. Next time I might cook a meal in the nude |

If you get bored easily (I can relate). You gotta mix it up. |

Good morning,
Pretend your are a tourist to your local area and do whatever they may do.
Get a new hobby as others have suggested, I have been boxing for a few months now and never thought I would try such a thing, let alone enjoy it.
Put done destination names you want to visit in a hat and pull one, half the fun is in the preparing to go away and counting down to it.
Plan a few things with friends, sounds cheesy but an old school dinner party with a theme, murder mystery, wine tasting, dress as ballerinas lol.
Go watch an ooutdoor movie, or find one of those teeny old school theatres where you can sit in Uber cosy chairs, drink wine and watch a movie, the other day I saw an outdoor hot tub movie theatre... although I kept thinking how wrinkly you would be by the end of the movie lol.
Go watch a live gig or see what local events are on.
Try different walking routes, maybe even do some geocaching.
Learn a new language....and maybe tie that into a trip away in the future
I know what you mean, it’s eady to get stuck on the same old treadmill, but at least you recognise it and are looking for ideas! |

Set yourself different things to do each weekend if you're not meeting up with anyone. Good to the cinema, theatre, bowling, get a tent and go camping. Good site seeing, art gallery, museum, have a day out to somewhere you have or haven't been.

"So it’s Saturday again. I forward to the weekend all week and then it’s just more of the same weekend routine. What can be done to break the monotony?"
Do something different? |
