Burnleyish (She/They)

I get this a lot in emails (from single men). I often try to respond to emails that aren't actually offensive from the start, but pretty much every time, if that phrase is in a 2nd or 3rd mail I end up getting called something derogatory. Today I resemble a less intelligent version of someone's dog.

Often I explain how, for me, ignoring what I'm looking for on my profile is a sure fire way to get you added to my "nope, even if I changed what I was looking for list."

Because I can but make the assumption that if someone is ignoring my desires in first contact situations, (when they should be trying to make a good first impression) why would they not ignore them in a meet (same goes for not taking no for an answer).

I'm not alone in this right?!

Sorry, awake to early for a Saturday!

Couldn’t agree more if they can’t show some courtesy while messaging why the hell would you want to meet them.

You must remember most blokes on here are still stuck on Hungry Caterpillar so you can’t expect them to read long profiles.

I don't. There is a tldr; right at the very top or my profile and everything. Just for them!

If it isn’t shiny and doesn’t have pictures they won’t see.

London

My time and patience is limited, so I wrote a profile, without ambiguity to enable men to exclude themselves. To add belt to the braces I made it clear I wouldn't respond to anyone outwith what I was looking for: and I didn't!

I honestly don't understand the "well he's not what I'm looking for, obviously couldn't give two hoots about my feelings, but he's not "rude", so I'll tell him thanks but he's no thanks" then surprised at a nasty response.

Gee...who would have thought it?!!

Ladies...take control and stop being "victims". You know what you want, go for it. If the bloke ignores your wishes from the off don't engage. If you do unfortunately you'll get petulant responses back.

But hey, it's just my opinion as it's worked for me, but each to their own.
