When do you think it should stop what age ? Do you think stIll doing it when child is 5 strange ? I could never breast feed i did keep having a go. I have even been told some men love the breast milk too. |

Met a young guy once from this site. He looked younger than his age. Was on cam with him and he was sucking me tits. Looked at the cam and thought oh fook it looks like am breast feeding him....he was alot older than 5 tho more like 25 at the time  |

I fed all my kids i stopped with two of them when they was a year old as thats what age i recomended to stop by my health visitor as at a year old they arnt dependant on mothers milk anymore, i stopped earlier with the other one as i was having problems and my milk wasnt feeding her
To still breast feed a child at 5 or older is just wierd, even at a year old they seem to big to be doing it so god know what having a 5 year old sucking on you looks like  |

I knew it was time to stop breastfeeding my youngest when got him to say "mummy, bitty" he was 16 months at the time and we had a holiday coming up.
I could just imagine him toddling up and saying "bitty mummy" while I was lounging by the pool. haha. Poor little bugger was cut off from the boob the moment he uttered them words. Cruel Daddy. |

it is up to each individual, but extended breast feeding( over 3years old) tends to be far more for the mother than the child.
cant link to the research, but we covered it on my nct breast feeding counselling course. |

seen tv programmes about it and it is so evident its more because the mother wants to feel close o them.
i just felt sorry for the kids going to school getting bullied about it, why would anyone want to put a child they love through that? |

basically what we were taught is that the mother has seperation issues, and she needs to feel secure about her parenting ability, critising her choice just makes her defensive. But yeah, poor kids!
