I would say yes as I'm a massive fan. But If you like great acting, gangsters and great scripts give them a go.

Love them both but would say the Godfathers have a bit more "atmosphere" if that makes sense

If 1 and 2 hadn't been made 3 would have probably been thought of as an ok movie, but sadly it was nowhere near the level of the 1st 2.

2 was my favourite, everyone slates 3 but I enjoyed it and wasn't it made like 20years after 2?I thought it still had the same feel to it but each to there own.

D & G

1 & 2 should be looked upon as one film and watched as such. Individually and combined they are outstanding pieces of work on all levels. In the 70s BBC broadcast the chronological version of the edited two films and it was a joy to watch. Alas you can no longer purchase that version.

3s not great but not bad either, it simply has big shoes to fill which it cannot manage.
