A shot each of rhubarb gin and vanilla vodka, lots of crushed ice and top up with lemonade - like drinking a rhubarb and custard sweet!
Or the good old Dark and Stormy - spiced dark rum (like Kraken), a couple of crushed lime quarters, a good glug of ginger beer and ice .... so-ooo good  |

Sweet Manhattan cocktail
If you're a whiskey lover, you'll love this sweet Manhattan, made with whiskey, vermouth and bitters. Serve with a maraschino cherry and a twist of lemon
50ml bourbon or rye whiskey
25ml rosso vermouth
5ml syrup from a jar of maraschino cherries (we used Luxardo)
2 dashes Angostura bitters
ice
For the garnish
maraschino cherry
a twist of pared lemon
Stir the ingredients with ice in a mixing glass, then strain into a cocktail glass. Garnish and serve.

Black Russian cocktail
A classic Black Russian cocktail is made with vodka, coffee liqueur and cola. Garnish with a maraschino cherry and serve as a decadent after-dinner treat
50ml vodka
25ml coffee liqueur
ice
1 maraschino cherry
cola to top up, chilled (optional)
Put the vodka and the coffee liqueur into a tumbler filled with ice and stir gently for 30 secs - 1min. Add the cherry and serve. Top with a splash of chilled cola if you prefer a longer drink |
