"Aunt Bessies Yorkshire puddings can't be beaten."
No way!..mine are awesome!..people say it's so much easier having frozen ones, only it takes literally minutes in preparing your own. Fair enough takes longer but so much nicer.
I have to disagree OP..x |

"I've yet to find any. I always buy ready made pancakes because they're better than the ones I make though "
My pancakes are really good, but cannot get my Yorkshire puds anywhere near the standard of Aunt Bessie! |

I love making my own and they are good. But for the time and effort they never quite match Aunt Bessie. Bessies roast potatoes on the other hand are crap and not a patch on home made |

Yorkshires don't take long, but say 5 to 10 mins to make the mixture and 25 mins to cook vs 4 mins for the frozen which invariably are crisper and taste better. Easy choice. |

Sorry dear heart. They are tasteless batter compared to my yummy yorkshires.
I use Aunt Bessies on what we call a ghetto roast."
What else do I get with my ghetto roast? Sounds like I need some recipe advice. |

If you are Hellmans born and bred then maybe that's how your taste is formed. I prefer home made mayonnaise. It it creamier and less acidic due to a better oil / vinegar ratio. |

For the perfect Yorkshire puds, its equal amounts of egg, plain flour & milk. Eg a cup of each. Heat muffin tray with a teaspoon of oil in each muffin holder for 10 min in oven at 170. Pour mixture into hot tray and bake for 35 min. Perfect every time. |

Sounds yum apart from the potatoes which are the spawn of Satan and taste awful, home made all the time for roast spuds. |

It a how I make mine, although beef dripping rather than oil. They are decent. But still prefer Auntie Bessies |

"My yorkie puds are legendary, blow aunt Bessie's out of the water "
Same here..
It's all about getting the oil hot enough..
I also use both milk and water in mine to make the mix. I find it leaves them less stodgy. |

My recipe is slightly different. For a tray of 12 (or 2 giant ones) I use 200g flour, 2 eggs, enough milk to bind then slowly add water to loosen. Whisk until full of air bubbles. Oil of preference heated until almost spitting hot, then add the mix. Don't open the oven door til they are done. |

"We don't buy or eat anything pre made, even mayonnaise and bread. You just can't beat home cooking, but I understand not everyone has the time or the knowledge."
My homemade sourdough is now equal to the best bakery bought and I know exactly what is in it x |

Oh and mayonnaise.
And baked beans. I’ve tried making them. Of course they’re healthy but just not the same.
