When you go away are you a pack light type of person or are you the type that needs a forklift truck to carry your case because you can't decided between potential outfits?
Im away from home for the next 3 nights and I've scaled my outfits down to 20 so far... I just can't decide what to take. Think I need a bigger case |

I can pack for a week in minutes. Only ever travel with hand luggage. So much easier. I did 3 weeks in Thailand with an 8kg rucksack, which included boxing gloves and shin pads.. once did 10 days I Menorca with 6 kilos. Including 2 books, and came back with a lilo in the same overnight bag.
Top tips for travelling abroad, take stuff you don't mind getting ruined and binning.. you are always covered in sun cream or aftersun. |

"Oh god I've got down to 10 dresses... Im only going to Birmingham and Derby "
And how far (close really!) is that for you?
I'm normally good at packing but recently it's been a bit of a 'mare - glass dildos take up a lot of space. As do wands. And bottles of things. |

I'm at 10 dresses. 7 chemises. 3 full sets of underwear inc suspender belts. One lace see through dress. To lacy dressing gowns. A few spare pair of knicks. 4 pairs of stockings. That's without toys... Toiletries... Makeup... Shoes oh shit |

Birmingham is about a hour and half and Derby about 45 mins.... But I'm spending 2 nights with someone rather hot and then one night at the attic with the girls so need choices |

That to me is hell. I always have to pay for extra luggage allowance |

Its a process. If you go away for a week, When you get back make 2 piles, everything you wore and everything you didn't. Take a pic. You will find you have overpacked by about 50-60%. Next time you do a similar trip refer to the pic and pack accordingly. For longer trips you don't need more clothes. Buy some travel wash, rinse and dry. Then bin at the end of the holiday |

"For the ones travelling so light ...do you not take clean clothes and underwear for each day
Toiletries to wash etc etc "
That's what the credit card is for. By stuff en route if it's a long trip, or when you get there. Before you leave, donate most of it to local charities. |

I was totally expecting this thread to be about something else entirely.
Anyway. If I have time to prep and plan I travel super light. If I don't I panic and just throw half my wardrobe into a case and end up using all my baggage allowance. |

This. I pack a toothbrush and travel toothpaste, a salt crystal deodorant and a travel size EDT. Most hotels have shampoo, shower gel. Or find a 7-11. I take a couple of tops for daytime that I don't mind getting ruined and getting rid of. Most of the underwear I take will be towards the end of its life. I will travel in a pair of lightweight trousers and a tshirt with a loose shirt over the top. For the rest of my stuff i pack 2 pairs of swim shorts, one pair of dressier shorts , and 2 loose casual shirts. 1 pair of flip flops and my kindle. I will take a socket adaptor and a small extension lead to plug my phone, speaker and kindle into. That's it. |

Depends where I'm going & who with.
A week visiting my mum.
I can go with nothing but my handbag as have clothes, toiletries already there.
A night away with my FWB or going out with the girls..
I try to pack light. I fail.
If I was boarding a plane, I'd be paying excess baggage!

Nope, I travel for months at a time, so it's not an option. Buy new toiletries, and new clothes as needed on the trip. Wash and wear means I only need 3 days clothes no matter how long the trip is. Guarentee no rain and I can do it with 2.

If I’m going with work, I’ll take more than I need, I have no excuse for not being prepared for any eventuality..... if I’m going for pleasure, as little as physically possible, sometimes the clothes on my back, a pair of spare socks. |

Far from a diva. I'd say more planning for all eventualities. I'm the same tbh. I can plan an outfit to wear then feel really self conscious when I'm in it and end up changing x |

I’m terrible, i pack for a weekend away as if i’m going on a two week holiday.
I’ll take this in case it rains
I’ll take that in case there’s a heatwave
I’ll take this in case the world ends
Be prepared. Expect the Unexpected. Buy a Bigger Case |

the right frame of mind -London |
I would say that I usually pack very light when travelling -I hate having to lug unecessary stuff -in my twenties I backpacked/ interrailed around Eirope for 6 months with only a 50 litre pack which also had a sleeping bag/ billy can/ cooker in it. |

Purely depends on situation and transport. I am perfectly capable of packing light light but wisely. A skill I have homed over the years of travel and my previous career. On the other hand if I've got the space, transport and it's not going to impede you why not take the kitchen sink? |

boxers and tshirts and socks
toiletries and stuff needed, buy what I need when I get there.
