We don’t buy into the whole valentines thing. There’s nothing that I’d hate more than being crammed into a restaurant l, elbow to elbow with dozens of other couples just because we’re told that this is romantic.
For us, romance is the little things that you do to show your partner that you love them.
For hubby’s last birthday we were on holiday camping. I’d not had time to shop for a card because of work and not having time to shop without him there. While he was at the shower block I tore a page out my notebook, folded it in half and drew a birthday cake on it. For hubby it was the best birthday card ever because it was unexpected and silly. He still has it six months later.
These little gestures are romance to us |
