When meeting for a social, do you prefer a cuppa, or a pub meet?

If just a cuppa, do you go to a coffee place/cafe, or happy to meet at your own place, or insist that it's *not* at your place?

Assuming it's the first social then always meet in a public place.

Where we meet depends on the time of day. Lunchtime would be a coffee shop somewhere, early evening would more than likely be a bar.

I've had some great socials not in coffee shops/pubs. Art galleries, a cemetery, book shops, museums. But never at mine. Or at theirs.

Usually a pub or bar, as I don't meet during the day.

Cafe, pub, etc. A chain a bit out of my way. Definitely not in someone's house.

Always somewhere weird. Asda cafe or McDonald's. Never had a no show though.
