FAB account says someone is on..?

Hi, can anyone tell me if an account would show someone is online when they are not...?
For example, my friend and I slept over and logged out of our account at ten...we looked in this morning on my singkes account and it said we last logged on 7 hours ago, which would have been 1am...? |

No they use their phone, but haven't been on all day, but it then says they were on a 1am or there abouts. |

My profile can show me as online as I always have fab open in at least one tab on the browser I use for everything.
Whenever I use it it shows me as here even if I am filling a trolley doing an online supermarket shop  |

I often think I've logged out when I haven't.
Also I think sometimes if there's a lot of people online it takes a while for the system to catch up. I don't know if this is true or not just a theory.

Depends sometimes your phone will keep tabs in background refreshed can play havoc with last on stuff.
That or your friend checked while you were sleeping |

"you see a profile you like... says 'online now' ,send a message look again 30 seconds later it invariably says 'left 6+ minutes ago' "
Theres a 5ish minute lag on showing offline which is very frustrating!
Unless phones are on airplane mode or not logged into sites/apps (same for any device that has internet, gps etc) sometimes updates and background processors can cause a brief interaction that shows the account as active |

I've had this happen, more times than I can count.
Get messages "you're up late" etc. When I was fast asleep, or friends who know I'm at work say they spotted the blue dot.
I did think it may have been because of switched between phone & tablet, and possibly not logged out on one.
But I had a period when I had no broadband/4G at home due to EE issues, could only get online when at work. Yet friends again told me my blue dot was showing.
I have no idea? |

Fab has a few glitches that show up now and again. I've been browsing our local area and come across our profile but it said we logged out two hours ago, and we've also logged on after being out all day and some newbies have joined and according to the colour of their username we've already checked out their profile  |
