Hello all,
As you can probably tell from my pics I'm like a lot of us women in the UK who practically live in La Senza lingerie.
With the store going bust, what are we to do now for sexy but affordable lingerie?
Ann Summers stuff just seems to be cheaply made and tarty.
I'm after the practical hardwearing but really sexy lingerie.
Where are you shopping now??

'Agent Provocateur' on line shop, beautiful things on there but expensive, great for the occassional treat though
For cheaper, 'Pandoras Choice'
Just mooch about on-line, there are endless sellers out there.
Happy Shopping x |

60 of the la senza stores are to be saved. Alshaya an Arab retail group bought the company.
They own stakes in other British retailers including Next, Debenhams and Mothercare. |

Hmmmm, not good for those of us with larger busts. Lasenza was perfect and affordable. Now Debenhams seems the next best choice, only most of the bigger busted stuff isn't nice and sexy...but frumpy. |

Not sure exactly where La Senza went wrong, but last time we went in they had more snuggly pyjamas and kids stuff than lingerie, made us turn on our heels and walk out?
Just a thought

"If you got any vouchers for them as a Christmas gift, don't hold your breath hoping to be able to use them. "
Thats why we never buy gift vouchers for anyone.
Because if the store goes under, you cant use them and they are worthless.
Yes, real shame about lasenza |

"I am sure the larger shops in larger cities such as London,B'ham and so forth will stay open. I have never really brought anything from la senza if I am honest with you... "
Swimwear from them is usually quite good as bikini's tops can be bought in bra size and the bottoms in different sizes and styles. |

Turn left at the Singing Ringing Tree |
I find that most stores lingerie is fairly boring and the bra parts full of padding. I really don't need any more help in that department. Usually I buy something I like and then take a pair of scissors to it to remove the padding.
Just bought myself a DVD showing how to make corsets. It has 20 different styles of corset patterns to choose from, so am looking forward to giving it a go.

The funny thing is i only just started to be able to get my fat arse into la senza clothes lol. There are lots of places that do do some nice lingerie, but i guess it depends on what you wear, i like my babydolls and chemise, ive seen some nice ones in places i wouldnt have thought to look. Next had some nice ones online. The joys of the internet is being able to shop around. |

Tell you what my bloody problem is at the moment. FAT BACK SYNDROME. Im a size 16 in babydolls and knickers ect, but still 42d in bras. If i want a pretty bra and knicker set i cant get the normal ones to fit me because majority of the bras only go up to 38in.
Its strange cause normal size 16 tops fit perfectly sometimes a bit big. It literally just seems to be the bra bit of my back thats still 42 in |

I have a similar issue from the other side. I'm a 34 ee and hardly anyone stocks my size in the pretty and sexy stuff. Bravissimo are good and recently discovered a store called (I think) boux. |

Beux Avenue has been set up by Theo Paphitis the origional owner of La Senza. Poached half the old La Senza staff when he set it up a while back. Stock is remarkably like the origional La Senza! They have one at Bluewater for those that go there... X |

Aww, La Senza had pretty stuff. Sadly the back size never went up high enough for me, even though the cup did.
I get mine from George (shush!!). They've started getting really nice and pretty sets in. Plus, matching frilly knickers! |

It is little known but LaSenza first announced the administration back in Aug but didn't publicly announce it until Dec. There is a shop called Aislings that has larger back and cup bra's, not sure what they have online but they will order in. |

I have never bought anything from La Senza as I find it quite flimsy, but very pretty, but I prefer more firmer garments.
I don't buy underwear from one particular place but my fave is buying items from old lady underwear shops. I like brands like Playtex and Doreen, very structured and I like old fashioned corsetry, it suits my figure rather than tiny little gstrings (which I obviously can't wear) |
