It's all a fluke. Things just happened and progressed badly! The Earth on which we stand today is a mess! The Worlds leaders of past and present should be ashamed of themselves. There's only one word to explain this World.... Greed! |

Agree humans will end the human race with a chemical or biological weapon.
The Black Death or something like that human population reduction plague from James Patterson's book and TV series called the zoo, or even that plague from Dan browns book will come about . Scary but something like it will probably happen. |

Conditions are perfect for the weak human form. Look how fragile we become in little temperature change or atmospheric pressure differences. We become shivering or suffocating piles of flesh and bone. *stupid human body.
But earth is in a perfect place in the universe for us to grow and evolve, it’s purely evolution, and we’re killing ourselves and the planet doing it. |

The thing with this question, and our exploration of space in general, is that we seem to believe that any life out there is based on the same model as us, i.e. water based. It does put us up there as the most advance life that form exists which seems like dangerous ground to me. I for one believe that there is life out there, some will be simple organisms, others will be far more advanced than us.
And if that isn’t the case, watch the re-make of Battlestar Galactica, explains it all perfectly! |

Humans have been on earth for a tiny fraction of the planet's history - 200-300,000 years or so: hominids a bit longer, though still a momentary flash of time in earth's history. We're just a part of evolution's production, with evolution producing all of the variations of living life on the planet. It's just about chance, rather than any pre-arranged plan etc. Most animal species that have lived are now extinct and humans will likely become extinct at some point, perhaps simultaneoulsy managing to destroy all/most other life, as part of our 'progress'.
The last couple of hundred years has helped people piece together the clues and evidence that have persisted for millions of years, about the planet's past as well as the evolution of life on it. There doesn't appear to be any need for any intelligent design etc. |

We are not perfectly adapted to the planet we live on, our bone structure would better suit a thinner atmosphere, we suffer skin ailments and arthritis that human evolution if we are from earth would have been sorted out millennia ago..
