Some believe are are all fragmented pieces of the same consciousness. It got bored being all by its lonesome for an eternity so decided to continuously split itself and made itself 'forget'. To experience something truely one must gain perspective from all angles, has the measure of everything. The villian becomes the hero etc. So some believe |

It's all just random, but the human condition is to look for patterns and seek meaning for things where none exists, in order to justify the belief system they have chosen. |

Totally agree. I certainly didn't deserve all the shit I had to go through"
I just find it very difficult to understand how and why people believe in all this. I’m not knocking it though which is why people’s thoughts on it genuinely intrigue me. It’s like religion, I’m agnostic but I know people get comfort from religion and beliefs which can only be a good thing. |

One of my best friends believes all that stuff so I’ve heard/seen it all. I just don’t believe in it at all. Things happen, they don’t happen because of what someone has or hasn’t done previously. |

No of course not... it's just something people say. Like when kids are naughty and you say Santa's not coming this year... he always does though. |

I think a lot of people misunderstand karma...it's not like a hitman you can set on people when you feel wronged and being a good person doesn't mean that life (and therefore death) will be a walk in the park for you. Its how you deal with what life throws at you that brings you karma.

How though? Again that’s just life. You get some shit thrown at you and deal with it positively then of course things will get better, if you don’t then it won’t. |

Not really, unless everyone does misinterpret the meaning. As people always say “oh that’s karma” if something goes wrong to someone who does wrong. Or “I hope karma gets them” etc. I have a 40 year old cousin dying of cancer who’s the kindest person you could know. If he was a murderer/ bad person i suppose it would be “karma”. I just don’t buy it. |

I’m not knocking anyone here I just find it difficult to believe in things like this. I’m very much a realist. I know I have strong opinions on things but only the things I know enough about. I also don’t believe that everyone is “entitled” to an opinion especially if they know nothing about the subject. I have a child with special needs and I get so many opinions ie “you shouldn’t do that” “why are you letting them get away with that” etc. Those people aren’t entitled to an opinion unless they’re living my life. With regards to karma, the people I know who believe in it have mostly been through a lot of shit in their lives and I just wonder if vulnerability comes into it. I’m not saying everyone who believes it has but in my experience it is a high proportion of people. I also get a lot of “god only chooses the special ones to give these children to”. To me that’s similar and also a load of rubbish. |

But cancer isn't personal, it doesn't pick people by their deeds, any human or any animal can grow cancer cells at any point in their life, it's a horrible disease and heart breaking for everyone involved but everyone and everything HAS to die at some point and there HAS to be a cause for that death, that's just the natural way of the world. Nature is not kind, it is effective.
An example of karma would be someone who has spent their life being an utter selfish bastard to everyone they have met along their path and ultimately being alone, forgotten and unloved when the last person in their life decides they've had enough. That's when they learn that their actions had dire consequences.
I'm very sorry to hear about your cousin, I truly am but it sounds like they will be surrounded by love, light, friends and family right up until it is their time to leave and that is always a blessing x |

I can see what you’re saying but I just see that as life/coincidence. There’ll be plenty of arseholes who live happily ever too. Like I said before if religion/karma brings comfort to people it can only be a good thing I guess. I often wish I wasn’t so incredulous to be honest but it’s just me and maybe life has made me that way. |

I began practising Cosmic Ordering about 6 years ago after being hounded by someone to do so. I didn't believe in it and failed to see how asking the 'sky' for the things I needed in my life would make them happen, but this person was relentless, telling me it would change my life.
I tried it once and was blown away.
From then on I spoke to the universe whenever I needed something, it could be clarity of thought, emotional peace, health, my protection or something material. He/she always delivers.
On a different note, more related to the thread, I now have a better understanding of karma and why good things happen to bad people and vice versa.
Karma is complex with many facets. |

In my own special way yes, I don't often play a lottery because that puts me in the zone of not enough/needing more/dissatisfaction....instead I wake up every morning feeling happiness and gratitude for everything I have and every day the universe gives me more happiness and things to be grateful for. I now have a beautiful house, a thriving business and things just "work out" without having to push and strain and fight all the time. That's better than a lottery win in my opinion. |

So any chance you two could use your magical powers to stop say female genital mutilation or poverty etc?
Or does this magic only work for your own selfish desires? |
