It’s no Homeland, but it’s entertaining nonsense and worth a watch.
Another vote for Sex Education - it’s an absolute blast from start to finish. Frequently laugh out loud funny, some real poignant moments, beautifully shot, stellar performances from all the leads, and virtually every minor character is given a surprising amount of depth. And has a great soundtrack. I might be slightly in love with Maeve.
Other favourites are Master of None and Love.

I watched both of those and couldn’t believe what I was watching in both!
Very compelling watching though. I was gripped. |

It’s full of great lines. The other wanking one though... when the guy leans over his desk to tell Otis he thinks he’s addicted to wanking... pauses... and then adds “I’m doing it now!”
My favourite scene is when Otis waits for Maeve at the clinic and walks her home at the end of episode 3. The emotion she gets out of the tiniest smiles when he gives her the flowers and hugs him outside the caravan....

Currently rebinging Always Sunny in Philadelphia. Always good for a chuckle and the episodes are only 20 minutes long, making it perfect for short sessions (though I just watch twice as many)
In the same category, The Good Place. Utterly brilliant. Won’t spoil it if you haven’t seen it but I watched all three seasons in two days. So. Good. |

Abducted In Plain Sight made me feel ill. Those fucking parents and that brother. Actually, every adult minus the FBI guy. Grrr! |

Think it’s Amazon? Saw the trailer and looked pretty good. There might never be another ER though. Was sure it was Alex O’Loughlin in it though, but it’s just his absolute spit.

From what I’ve read it takes a few episodes to get going, but the second half of the series goes off in all sorts of clever directions and is well worth sticking it out. |

The Good Place is that rare thing these days: a truly original show. Looks silly (and much of it is), but with moments of profound genius. Well worth a watch.

Another vote for Umbrella Academy. Has anyone else read the comics it's based on? Which are pretty complex but excellent writing and utterly brilliant artwork. It's a credit to the show that they've managed to get at least a nod towards the appearance of the characters in the comic. (Though Luther, no. 1, should have even more massive shoulders so that his waist and head look tiny by comparison.) |

My flatmates and I literally just finished stranger things (it was a second viewing for me). We previously completed Narcos +the Mexican season of it. A show I'm looking forward to is Mindhunter S2. Anyone got any recommendations similar to those 3 shows? Quite the eclectic mix. Guess this is where Netflix finds out if their multimillion dollar algorithms really cut the mustard |
