Who’s needy?

I am asking you to generalise, but I’ve been told men have been found to be more needy. And in fairness I can see why they have that argument.
When it comes to men and women who do you think is generally the needy sex? And can you back it up with a good argument?
Do you feel like your needy?

Difficult to generalise but I think;
Women are more in need of emotional support than men,
And men are more in need of physical support, having things done for them.
Again a general observation, many men and women don't fall into these categories |

A woman said completely the opposite to me, men are emotionaly needy.  |

Not the women I know. I know loads of strong, independent women.

Exactly the same here. I’ve also had my moments of neediness and my moments of completely strong independence too.
The person who said that men are more needy, is in my opinion a strong independent woman. Maybe that has a bearing on her views. I dunno. |

I know some needy women who can't cope with life if they're not constantly getting texts and 'likes' on their pics.
I know some needy men who can't cope with life if they don't have a woman to show off and boost their fragile self esteem. |

This is how I'd perceive needy too. I've noticed this need for constant approval also continues into relationships and coupled with almost always low self esteem mean the relationship is already failing. It's sad, the couple of vanilla friends I have who are like this are the most sweet, wonderful people when you get to know them!

I think you can be needy for different things. I dont give a monkies for fabs and compliments on looks and shallow things, but am finding myself needy for reassurance at the moment with people I care about.
I admit it is a problem, but one Im working on. Everything else I have to be firecely independant on so one little flaw can be forgiven 
I don't find it particulary limited to one sex either. Men can need that reassurance just as much I find. |

I have friends like this too. I think they made a terrible couple because it wasn't yin/ yang. They were both needy.  |

I wouldn't say I was needy.
I much more "don't give a fuck" these days.
Then again I don't really use fab for meets, more about the forums for me.

Yes I understand that and I agree but I think that’s more about having physical needs. I don’t think it’s the same as being ‘needy’. Different interpretations maybe?  |

Most the time I'm not needy.
I'm poorly at the moment and it's making me needy. But when I'm needy and dont get what I want it just makes me push people away |

I've met some needy people in my time both men and women. I can't be doing with it. One woman actually sort of collapsed down on the floor of the office behind my chair because things weren't going her way and I wasn't showing the correct amount of pity and attention. I just carried on working until she got up a walked away. |

We all have needs, been needy is a different thing. Fab is not the place to find self worth or build self esteem, that comes from within but I guess some get an ego boast but those who need that lack the other two. |

We all need other people in our own ways, some of it influenced by culture.
It's ok to be needy and to let others know how they could support you. Our suicide rates shout loudly that people are often unable to connect with others and be held up to sustain their strength and independence - they get isolation instead.
Don't knock the needy or those who may be weakened, life can be tough. I'm fortunate as well as sensitive and have been fairly strong since young, though always love a good cuddle and tenderness.

No, I didn’t meen on fab at all. But most replies here relate to that because where we are I suppose.
I was asking your experiences in everyday life, I’ve seen needy people everywhere. But I’m unable to say one sexy is more needy than the next. |
