Your dentist must be shit, I’ve had two in the last 18 months and with anaesthetic it was fine! Didn’t they dose you up properly? 
Anyway. Hope the pain subsides soon!

"I have had two, the first one was a piece of cake, no pain and no after effects....the second one turned into an abscess that hurt like hell for a week so I would watch out for that."

I had 3 wisdom teeth extracted at one time and didn't feel anything but a crunching the pulling sensation.
Went back home, cooked, cleaned, did the school run and looked after my 3 children and husband.

I had all 4 of mine taken out under general anesthetic and an overnight stay in hospital many years ago. I just remember coming round with a mouth full of bandages, and living on soup for about a week  |

Can't watch Horrible Bosses without wishing my dentist looked like Jennifer Aniston instead of a baldy 60 yr old fat dude.

I’ve found Dentists don’t always give you a numbing injection now unless they (or you) feel it necessary. That always makes me nervous when they first start poking and prodding, given my incredibly pathetic low pain threshold!

Didn't the dentist suggest a general?
I had my first root canal treatment recently. No pain at all for either procedure, but when I felt those pins stuck in the roots with my tongue I started to pat attention. Bloody glad I didn't Google it beforehand. |

I once had a filling and it took aaaaages. When he'd finished he said he'd done a root canal. I had no idea, it didn't hurt at all. I think he knew how scared I was so didn't tell me. It was absolutely fine and no issues afterwards either. Day after I was fine. |
