What’s the verdict ?

(I appreciate that I’m probably going to be the only person who’s heard of them on Fab)

They are simply genius. Stripped back beats and stripped back (clever) lyrics. A really pertinent band

I think they’re brilliant, took a while for me to get into them, but the lyrics are fucking hilarious.

Says something about the state of the music industry when the most relevant music is being made by middle age blokes!

I liked some of their stuff, but there is only so many times I can listen to "5 and go" before I want to stuff something in my ears to make it stop.

I predict their career trajectory will be a bit like "The Streets"

The fact they’re still going after all this time has gotta say something about them

So bands made careers out of making the same song over and over. I think they’re way sharper and more intelligent than The Streets, I admit they probably aren’t going to be around for decades, but they’ve got humour and a keen eye.

I know, I’m on a downward curve, need to reinvent myself.

I like the fact the other bloke just stands there and does nothing, turns the beats on and that’s it.

Well they’ve already been round for over a decade, they’re likely to just keep going with the same fan base doing the same stuff. As long as there’s politics happening they’ve got shit to make records about

Nottingham

Not really my cup of tea but they have certainly improved somewhat from when I first saw them gigging on the local circuit when they first started out.
