So we have a new boss, he’s ok a Londoner
But the amount of lies he’s already given people, the hidden agenda to bring discipline and compliance is not going down well
Looks like an interesting ride..
Anyone else experiencing the new boss syndrome? |

We got a new site manager last year and he came in promising loads and he’s probably delivered about 10% of them, but I know that a lot of the promises he’s not come through with are down to the further up management tying his hands |

Had one a few weeks ago. Started throwing his weight about within an hour ...Told me how to do my job without actually knowing how to do my job. Took him to one side and explained that he hasn’t a clue and he could work with me or against me. If he was against me I’d list everything he’d done wrong in the first 24 hours and fire it off to head office |

A new boss comes with a new style of management. It invariably results in some casualties when new management arrive and sometimes that’s a good thing. You can’t leep everyone happy and on side all the time.

How do you know it’s lies?
It’s difficult for any new boss, particularly if they have been brought in with a specific agenda in mind.
Sometimes things can’t be disclosed for confidentiality reasons until the right time, so depending on what he’s been asked he might not be in a position to say anything!
Give him a chance and reserve judgment until he’s been there for a bit, he needs to get the understand the area better and the culture first! |

Yes, I switched jobs. My new ones are amazing, small company, husband and wife owners. Really take care of all of us, honest, fair, generous and hard working. Like a breath of fresh air and makes such a positive difference to my life. |

I have been with my company for 20 years and we have seen plenty of managers and CEO come and go, they come in with all guns blazing and have new ideas and different criteria, then we always go back to doing our specific job the way it has always been done |

"We have new owners.
I only met one. On his maiden voyage to the company we played Popmaster together. He was quite good too. I like him so far.
...and I bet you were 'one year out!'"
Usually off by more than that. Ken would end up hanging up on me in despair. |
