"Attitudes towards sex are one reason I ditched my religious upbringing.
I've known a few who are religious and on here, but it sure didn't fit for me."
Just curious about it really. A lot of us in real life don’t act like we do on fab. |

On one hand it does seem contradictory, what with thou shalt not commit adultery and all that (other religions sexual prohibitions are available too of course ), but on the other hand religion is all made up nonsense and a form of brainwashing to elicit mass social control anyway, isn’t it?
So I doubt anyone will *really* go to hell .. |

I found the shame from the religion I was brought up with (in many respects) to be the worst part of religion. I still hold onto the good parts (treat others with respect, do good, etc) a part of me.
There are so many people out there who claim to be religious, godly people, but then condemn, shame, and treat people like shit. It's not the religion, it's the person, of course.
My experience of religion as a child was very very negative, and I always felt I was a bad person. My experiences with sex increased that feeling.
I am attracted to religion, something in me wants to believe something, but I refuse to follow anything these days that tells me how to behave and/or think.
I see nothing wrong with people having a religion and being here; it's only the hypocrisy of some who publicly condemn and privately do the same that disgusts me.
