I meet all the criteria on his profile for what he's looking for. We chatted and swapped pics.
We met for a social and everything went well.
But now he says he doesn't want to meet me again. I've asked him why not but he won't give a reason!
Has anyone else had this? We got on, so how can he now turn me down? How can I make him tell me why he won't meet me again?
He doesn't have a good reason not to meet me again! |

Ah .... it’s happened to me before ( unbelievably I know  ) I don’t think he believed I was a larger woman so when we met and he realised I wasn’t lying he was both happy that I didn’t lie but realised I wasn’t for him.
Thing is ... in person you get to feel the spark. I met a gorgeous looking man a few weeks back , but I felt absolutely nothing for him so I knew I’d not meet him to bump uglies.

But I'll answer the reasons I've not met after a social.
The kiss - I've had guys that have been perfect in every way but when I have kissed them I've felt dead in side
The way they smell - not in a gross you stink way but there have been guys that just have a smell that doesn't attract me
And lastly, some mannerism, ie the way they speak or breathe can't put my finger on it but they annoy me in some way

Exactly this. This is the whole point of a social... to find out if there is a click, a spark, to see if you want to get naughty with this other person. I’ve had a couple of socials where we walk away and say nothing to each other. This guy was kind enough to say no thank you  |

It’s will just be one of those feelings you either do or don’t get when you meet. This is why I always have a social, you can put all the groundwork in place but when you’re alone and face to face it is different, it just is and most of the time it is probably going to be fine but it won’t always be. |

Given the level of intelligence I see you operating at, I find it a strange post from you (like others have also said).
My questions are. Why do you want to meet him again, if it's not reciprocated? Do you really need a reason if it's not going to happen? Will that reason make you feel better or worse about yourself? Should his opinion effect you in that way, when you're clearly a well liked, popular person? |

Sadly it happens, I’ve met folks for socials and we got on so well before with messaging and phone calls but when we met it just wasn’t for me. The conversation didn’t go down too well and we had nothing to say (unusual for me) at the end I said I wouldn’t be meeting him again. |

This is a standard response I would give to anyone who didn’t make it last the social stage.
People can look different from their pictures so when you meet them in the flesh there’s just no attraction.
People might not click, I know personally I met a guy recently twice for just socials but he was very posh, nice car, good job, plus I could sense there wasn’t a connection then so that went no further. |

I'm still trying to wrap my head around the fact that it happened to you more than once.
On a positive note, it sounds like your selection process works, you are, on these occasions at least, picking guys who don't subscribe to the "any holes a goal" mentality, so I would say getting the odd one or two knock-backs is the price you pay for picking good guys.
Ok, I'm not sure that sounds as good written down as it did in my head, but I hope the meaning comes across. |

an interesting post,I had a social meet once and we didn't hit it off because she was too posh,and another time the lady had bad breath and obviously her so called friends hadn't told her,I don't take offence if somebody doesn't want to develop a first meet because that's life. Not everybody is going to find us attractive because there are so many variables. |

That happened to us with a couple after weeks of chatting online, the guy didn't take to the Mrs and the Mrs didn't take to him, nothing was said on the night but we just stopped talking, it happens so just move on. |
