Profile pic then a quick scroll to see if there’s any blurb. If there is, then back up to what they’re looking for and location, quick look at the pics and read of the veris then back down to the blurb  |

You see an avatar that piques your interest, then you scroll the photos to see if they are as good as the avatar.

First location and age because it’s there before I click on the pics. If I like the pics I have a gander at the profile. Pics and profile good - onto hotlist. Location and age irrelevant |

Age, location, whether they are smokers- can't stand the smell of cigarettes, especially the cheap, nasty ones. I remember a recent situation in a club, I was in a room with my partner, and suddenly started almost gagging. The smell of cigarettes coming from the corridor was overwhelming, even though we were nowhere near smoking area. I guess one of the smokers was wandering the halls...
Coming back to the post- if they passed on age, location and smoking, I'd check bio and photos. |

What they are looking for, starting with the two main dealbreakers: required age range and gender.
Unless they want a man, of my age, I don't bother reading anything else.
Then I start scanning for the usual minefield of other incompatabilities.
There are certain things, which always make me roll my eyes and walk away.
It isn't very often, I find one worth reading, in its entirety.
Since location is visible before you look at a profile, I'm not sure why so many are listing that first?
(If a profile shows something silly, instead of proper location, I won't even look).
Interesting to see height mentioned so frequently, though. |
