As a previously morbidly obese person (and still pretty chunky to be fair) it doesn’t make someone less of a person or make you better than them because they struggle with their weight. I’m sure you deplete natural resources yourself without even realising. I’d rather be fat with a personality than be of average weight and boring thinking I’m better than everyone else |

Given that larger built people have more fat which acts as an insulator.....they probably turn up the central heating less than skinny folk.
So may well end up burning less fossil fuel.

Technically they do (me included) but seems strange that you should single out us fatties when pretty much everyone (especially in the developed world) is over consuming at unsustainable rates. One could read this as more of a passive aggressive dig at fat people than it is a question of human impact on the planet. |
