Yeah, I did google mug ear and handle of the mug came up.

Tea, so yeah hot liquid, the glue did say it bounds ceramic though.

If it's a hot liquid, try it and find out.

If it's beer, don't risk it, you don't want to be wasting that.

Been drinking tea all over this crazy country and no one else has ever said the phrase 'mug ear' to me before!
