Guts have a lot of nerves, were there’s nerves there’s a lot of feelings/sensation and to go with your gut is similar to going with what your foof or dong is feeling. You don’t really go with your gut feeling, you go with reason. |

My indepth research (goggle) says:-
"Actually, when you are “trusting your gut,” you are actually trusting your brain, which is the source that gut feeling. This “gut feeling” is an instinctual response from your brain to protect you from making what it perceives to be the wrong decision."
