I used to think like that. Stuck to it, upped my game and approach.
Enjoying it now.
You need to put effort in, some maybe more than others but it definitely gets better once you figure out how you are going wrong. |

I noticed that Swinging clubs, is absent from your list of interests. Swinging, is a good way to introduce yourself perhaps even become fab friends. If you are polite, chat, laugh, and go with the flow, and as always respectful then, there is a fair chance of being accepted as a good egg.

Fab is a business and using their site and costs to promote competitors isn't appropriate. It's also the very best site that caters to this market - I add that with 100% certainty.
If you do the same things, on a site that has more of the same type of people as FAb, you'll likely get similar results. This will be influenced by you as well as others - interests, availability etc but also how you're communicating with others. You have limited ability to radically change yourself, in ways that are apparent, except at surface level: facial expression, appearance/clothes, photo results etc. But you have much greater ability to alter how the you that is communicated is perceived by others. If your assumption is that there are sufficient people out there that would like to know someone like you and it's correct - then rather than just changing where you're trying to find these people, consider more of the how.
You could consider swinging clubs and fab socials, to increase peoples' awareness of you that's better than just a profile page. And you could adjust how you're communicating about yourself.
Those are my immediate thoughts.

It's not about luck OP - other than what you make for yourself - set your expectations, approach and attitude right, couple it with a decent profile and pictures and there *could* be no need for another site like this for you.
Get it wrong however.... |

I've said it before but if you're a middle aged average bloke with no public pics and no verifications no one is going to reply to you.
I'd suggest going along to a social to get verified and putting up some tasteful pics |

Try a club, but go in purely to have a fun social evening and talk to people in the same way you would if you went into a pub for the first time.
If anything happens, then that's a bonus. Just don't pester or follow couples and ladies around |

Don’t just rely on living life through a screen. You’re in the northwest which is chock full of lifestyle clubs. Get out there. Talk to people. Network. Make real life, tangible connections.
It’s not about luck and even if it was, to be lucky enough to win the lottery, you do have to actually purchase a ticket! |
