My nan made great apple pies with apples from her garden, her pastry was amazing.....but there would always be a hair in it somewhere....

"A pie pie. Meat&potato pies cut into quarters and put in a dish. Lashings of gravy on top and then another pastry on top. Oven cook until golden brown.
Bet you burn it "
Bet I don’t. (I might burn the corner that’s at the back of my oven) #KowYourOven. |

"Always wanted to try Pumpkin Pie but I don’t do cooking."
Firsttime I tried it was when my sister-in-law, whose from Canada, made one.
Really liked it, so had a go at making my own and it came out rather well.
It was after this that she admitted that she slightly cheated in that she bought a tin of pumpkin pie filling rather than make it from raw ingredients.
Nobody said Cottage pie yet? |

"There’s a pub I’ve been to that does 2 in 1 pie - steak and ale one side, cauliflower cheese the other. "
That sounds interesting, I did a half apple pie half mince pie at Christmas which went down a treat |
