Never been to Bury St Edmunds before so can anyone tell me the best places to go and see?

There and to the left a bit

It's a lovely town that has an excellent shopping area that is a mix of a modern fairly recent area and the old style market area that sit nicely side by side. There's a reasonable mix of both chains and individual shops.

The park encompasses the ruins of the old Abbey, that is worth seeing, and there's also a graveyard that includes an old charnel house as well as many Victorian and older headstones.

Bury is also the home of the Greene King Brewery and believe they do tours.

Other than that the town generally has some fantastic architecture from various eras that you can marvel at as you wander round.
