Old School? And prefer to actually ring someone on the phone?

Who else is sick of this txting etc?

Always been complimented when I actually ring women they say it doesn't happen often and it shows confidence.

I rarely have anything much to say to any one and I get unlimited texts, so they get a text asking if they are in. Then I go to see them.

A man I recently gave my number to rang me at 7.15 am. Then at 11.50 am and then at 10.35 pm. He often rings 3 times a day and we haven't had a first date yet.

I'm not used to conversing on the phone.

It's unfiltered too, no real time to think what you're gonna say.

Both have their benefits and correct time to use them.

Not gonna bother calling someone to say "I'll be there in 5 minutes, be ready" however I will do that when I'm in the car.

I don’t like phone calls unless pre- arranged, it somehow seems more intrusive than text.

I can answer texts at work or with my family, it’s not so easy with a phone call

I'd say it was more personal than intrusive.

I usually try to talk to people on the phone as soon as possible after a few texts, sorts out all the time wasters. I do use a spare play phone though.

I agree if it’s at a pre arranged time, I just don’t like random calls.

I hate chatting on the phone, I'd rather text then speak in person. Plus I don't like giving out my mobile number, only a few Fabbers I know and consider friends have it.

But a lot of people insist on a phone call before they meet you... couples generally wont meet unless they have heard your voice...

My argument is how do they know its you and vice versa

You can identify a mans voice from a woman's voice. I think that is the idea.

So you're not really old school...

You're just ensuring that it's not a man you are investing your time in

It’s old skool OP!

When I was younger OMG the bills I use to rack up. £140 most months.

Now it’s all about WhatsApp. You can voice message, video message or text.

Very rarely do I call anyone, even family. G x

I'm old school in a lot of ways that provoke ridicule from some people. This is mostly because I'm old .

I'll happily talk to people I know well on the phone but I'm much happier face to face or text with everyone else.

Don't ask me to drink water from a sports top bottle or use kitchen roll in place of a napkin though
