One thing I missed on my sabbatical from fab was the music threads.
I discovered a fair few bands and songs I would never have heard had it not been recommendations plus remembered some classics I'd forgotten.
So give us all you've got. What should we be listening to? New or all, chuck it on the playlist! |

If you’re in a mellow mood try ‘The Berlin Tapes’ by Icehouse/Iva Davies. The full album is on Spotify. It’s a mid-90’s covers slbum, some stunning tracks on there. Well worth a listen. |

As well as some new songs I do like new interpretations of old songs. I’ve got a ton of Covers playlists on Spotify.
One I found last night was this - You Make My Dreams by Tim Halpern:

Me too. Saw her live recently and she was incredible. As much a contemporary dance show as music gig.
Have you seen the live tracks she uploaded to you tube recently?
This version of Comme Si is amazing:

Also been enjoying the new 1975 album, and Bastille’s new volume of Other People’s Heartache. The Descent is brilliant. Has a snippet of an incredible sounding song from the forthcoming album proper, Million Pieces.

"For me, the music related threads are the best
At the mo I've got the monkey man god himself Ian brown playing "
Good shout - I listened to IB's new tune 'First World Problems' earlier in the week - the video even features him on the F.E.A.R bicycle |

Depends what mood I'm in, If I'm at the gym deadlifting, Naysayer by Architects, it will also help if you need to punch through a concrete wall! haha
For more chilled out times All my days by Alexi Murdoch or in fact anything by him.
Does anyone else like Architects or Beartooth? |

Her live performance is amazing, she doesn't half rabbit on between songs though! Got a bit annoying for me. |

Ah, I don’t mind all that. I’d rather have that than artists who say nothing for the whole show. The whole show is on YouTube - need to watch it sometime to relive it. |

After watching the bloody brillaint Sex Education, Ezra Furman is a bit of a new discovery.
Every Feeling is incredible:

Tracks like Lousy Connection and Can I Sleep In Your Brain Are brilliantly bonkers. |

"Aw I'm loving the Ezra Furman love. Body was made is my fave track. "
Did you know him before Sex Ed? Was surprised he had so many albums. I’ve just been listening to the two most recent ones.
Do you know Ben Kweller? If not you’d probably like him. On My Way might be his best album. And In Other Words from Sha Sha is my favourite track of his. |
