There and to the left a bit |
Stayed in an awful "all inclusive" one in Blackpool years ago, carpet was threadbare, door was falling off the hinges, room was generally dirty, food was worse than school dinners and place was full of undesirables.
There was also a pretty shoddy B&B in Weymouth that was literally the last available room in town, so taken out of desperation - although a bench on the seafront might have been preferable to add insult to injury, it had an Arsenal theme running through it's name and decor which as a lifelong Spurs fan was a little hard to take |

Can honestly say that I don’t recall ever having a disastrous hotel experience.
The only thing that I can think of was an All Inclusive holiday we went on in Fuerteventura when the kids were a lot younger. The hotel was decent enough, right on the beach but the hotel bar/club was a sight to see. It opened at 7pm by which time there were masses of people queuing outside. As soon as the doors opened there was a stampede for the bar. Kids were forgotten and discarded in the crush, crazy people in Union Jack shorts and vest tops were piling on top of each other trying to get there first. The all inclusive aspect of the hotel ran out at 12 midnight, by 12.15 the place was like a ghost town lol. Suffice to say we spent our days on the beach and evenings in the local bars and restaurants not the cattle market.

"Travelodge. Any Travelodge... "
I stayed at a Travel Lodge on Dick Lane (!) in December. Immaculately clean. Nice quality bedding and towels. Spacious room. Good hot shower. No complaints at all. And only £26. |

Travelodge in Newcastle. Carpets held together with gaffer tape and a very badly repaired fist sized whole in the bedroom wall. Also had security guards patrolling the corridors at night... felt more like a prison! |

One that we booked in the town I come from, walked into the room took one look picked up our cases and walked back out. The receptionist was really nice actually said she understood as it was more a truckers hotel. |

There used to be a hotel in Brighton called “The George Hamilton IV commercial hotel”. Never went in it and I’m sure it was lovely, but I always wanted to se what it was like and what sort of people stayed there and if it had any themed rooms.
I stayed in a hotel in France and next morning found a cockroach in my shoe. I’d never seen one before except in a zoo. I chucked it out of the window. |

Louven, Belgium. A grubby eastern European hotel on an industrial estate. Without doubt a money laundering operation. It's the only thing that was laundered, the sheets were covered in various bodily fluids and the maid would suck you off for a euro. |

I've been lucky in my travels abroad, no problems really but I've stayed in a truly disgusting hotel in London and couldn't wait to leave in the morning. I was ashamed for any tourists coming to this country and witnessing it. |

Hotel in Manchester by the Cathedral, went after Xmas year before last . Got bitten to hell by bed bugs, I had a huge allergic reaction to the bites and it took weeks for them to go down.
Complained in reception, complained on line. No response from either.
The reviews on the site I'd booked it on were favourable, when I checked Trip Advisor I found loads of reviews mentioning the same thing so the place was obviously infested and they were aware if it.
Urgh my skin is crawling now thinking about it.
I've stayed in hotels all around the world and that was the worst. |

A few years ago decided last minute to go to a get club in brum with some friends all of whom were staying in an Ibis which was fully booked. Next door to it was a formula 1 hotel which I knew from my days living in Brum wasn't the best but it was cheap and convenient and it was only for one night most of which we'd be out. Fuck me that was one scary place, was more like staying in a bail hostel than a hotel and was genuine scared for my safety in there. Awful |

A fair few years back I had the misfortune to stay in a groundfloor room in a supposedly 3 star Florida Hotel. The door and frame were buckled having been jimmied at some point in their life and the only way to lock it at night was with the three long bars that swung across to secure it once you were inside or the one big one on the outside when I went out. I checked out the next morning after the room cleaning carts started loudly getting loaded up outside of the room at 5:30am. The desk clerk asked me if anything was wrong with the room |

Basement room of an Easy Hotel in Central London. Ok it was clean but only because they had pressure washed it from top to bottom. The only benefit was I didn't have to pay for it as it came with the job I was doing! |

A "family suite" in Blackpool. We had to sleep on one of those bunk beds where the bottom half is only marginally larger than a single bed and the bathroom was in a different room! |
