"I put in my profile , if your not interested just delete and I'll block which I already have
That's what the block button is used for ! "
I try to be polite and not block people unless they are a bit rude to be honest or I can't look at the profile photos .
I am starting to block now |

"It does happen unfortunately. I suppose they’re just taking the chance that they will appeal to you, irrespective of what your profile says. "
Thanks babs.
I shall just have to ignore them u feel rude tho then if I delete they message back I try my best not to get annoyed but some are a little relentless |

Could it not be that although these guys don't match your preferences, that there are factors that are shared amongst them - they may have similarities, their lifestyles may have or there are external events that link them, such as a poor sport or television period? We know they share habits of not reading or ignoring profile specifics but I assume there's more at play. It's a bit like power companies who see a surge on power use at the moment adverts start in popular TV shows as kettles get turned on.
I do notice some similar patterns but don't know the underlying mechanisms at work |

We get this, it seems to come in groups as you say. Our profile is pretty specific and not lengthy but sometimes it feels as if it's invisible . We tend to either reply politely or block.
Do your messages coincide with you putting a new picture on, updating your status or posting on the forum? |

No I just suddenly get a loads of the same sort of dudes be it via profession or race without sounding rude .
I was talking to one army guy once then had about fourty messages from army but tbh I kind of new that was like that .
I was also told about a k.I. k
page they sometimes use .
Makes me actually not want to be on f&b now which is such a shame I have had some of the best times with some decent people .

I've only just started in the forums since this keeps happening I've grown tired of messaging the same polite reply to them and just switched of messages most nights now |

Oh right! I understand. The army one I can understand but not the others. Very odd. |

I was going to suggest that. Don't be afraid to use the block button, I know some people see it as rude but sometimes you need to use it for your own sanity. |
