"Toyata Yaris "
I sold a Yaris last May that I had inherited. Hated the thing. Bloody awful to drive and boderline dangerous in the wet - and I'm an advanced motorist (IAM) of 22 years |

107/Aygo/C1 - you could probably get any of those brand new for about 85-95 per month with no deposit.
If you would be happy with a used motor go private and when viewing take someone who knows motors with you. As for what to go for, see what's on offer in your price range then Google the reviews on those vehicles and offset that against mileage, wear and tear and practicality |

"So much love for the ford ....
Why?? nices Finnish but not made to last..."
That was back in the 80's, they don't rust so much these day's Plus they are a good drive. But given a choice between a focus or a golf I'd probably go for a golf. |

Oi....!! nothing wrong with French cars...
The Tesla Roadster is not too big plus you never have to fill up with petrol.
And the acceleration figures mean you get to work before you've left home.
Doesn't get better than that...!!

If you do 10k miles over a year I recommend BMW 116 Efficient Dynamics, very economic, cheap insurance and a twin turbo Diesel engine.
1.6l, free road tax
It’s the only small engine rear while drive car I know of, quite inexpensive for the car it is when compared to other cars.
Less than 10k a year get the petrol engine instead. |

Shame you may be missing some bits by the time you get there though.
Renowned for shocking build quality. |

Toyota Aygo. Surprising big for a small car. Great on fuel. Nippy town cars. I got to 105mph on the autobahn in mine. She eventually decided to try die in me at 110k miles. And only needed a new clutch and gearbox. Amazing little car. |
