Since there seems to be a bit of a how many is too many/who posts the best threads type vibe going on I figured I'd ask your opinions.

Are you more drawn to a certain poster or their type of thread? Do you actively avoid some OPs?

Are you sick of seeing the same people starting threads or are you just glad their are new threads?

Do you start threads and if not why not?

i don’t bother with the repative daily threads, i’ll pop in to those that i’ve not seen before and see if it warrants a comment on not.

Anyone could post a thread I will comment on.

I rarely join in on the fun threads or running chat threads, but now and then I might.

I don't have a favourite thread started but some people start threads I like to join in on

The only ones I get a bit irritated by, are the ones that are obviously stated to cause division. Normally the OP throws the hand grenade and walks away.

I try to keep things light hearted as latley many forums across the internet seem quite toxic especially if politics comes up.

And im not above it i get drawn in amd become a sarcastic bitchy arse too.

But its hard to think of light hearted topics that work on a forum.like this where there isnt a common interest or meme like cars, bikes or computing forums.

Lack of images (which is probbaly for the best) also means threads dont get broken up with humour like other forums as everything is pure text which csn be taken wrong

Replying to this goes against one of your questions!

I just post wherever I feel like I can butt-in or have anything to say regardless of the subject or people in involved.

The same posters and usual threads keep a forum alive. Place would be dead without them, even if they are mostly pointless.

I have done but rarely do create my own as I'm not creative enough.

I do avoid some as sometimes I’m just itching to give the op a sharp dose of reality but it’s not worth it. I like the light hearted ones, I come on here to escape not get drawn into arguments. I do occasionally start threads, and I don’t mind who’s posting how many x

There and to the left a bit

I think everyone is entitled to post what and how often they like on an open forum and would never criticise anyone for starting too many threads (as I have seen a few instances of lately) ultimately it's just people trying to get a discussion started which is the point of a forum surely?

That said, there are threads I'll avoid or will read and not comment because they hold no specific interest for me, or because the poster is trying to be contentious but I don't make a song and dance about it - simply move on to the next one if it's not to my taste.

I will look at a thread because iam interested in that thread. Dont often post but on the odd occassion that i do, its because iam interested in others opinions of the subject or trying to be funny.

Quite often its difficult to tell which is which though.

I don't start threads because my gloriousness/inanity on any given day is too much for the forum.

I don't mind posters who post a lot of threads - I just choose threads I like the look of rather than poster depending. Actually, that's a bit of bollocks. I tend to respond to friends/people I like threads more than others as I already know I like their sense of humour and word play etc.

If I start a serious one then I tend to try and start a silly one for balance. I'm really not bothered about which I post on though.

Some posters I will gravitate to or away from though as I already know how they're likely to go, it sometimes depends on my mood though.

Personally I think more should start threads though, then there won't be the bickering about one poster starting lots

I wouldn't avoid a thread based solely on the Op as I don't have an axe to grind with anyone. I will avoid threads based on their content however. Anything that involves politics or controversial issues I steer clear of as it's not what i'm here for.

I may not post a thread for weeks on end and then suddenly start 2-3 in the space of couple of days. Depends on mood

I don't comment on threads where the OP has taken a quote or words from something off the net, or a book they read, to instigate deep-thinking debate.

These usually turn into posturing and sniping at each other.

I don’t give it any thought. I pop in wherever I fancy no matter who starts it or who is on it. I like the silly stuff mainly. If people want to start umpteen threads a day then that’s fine by me, I doubt I would notice.

Threads might be repeated but they don’t necessarily go the same way because it depends who is posting on them and there are always new folk around.

I don’t start threads. I have started an occasional breakfast thread but that’s it.

The right place

I tend to dip in and out of the forums these days. I probably comment on fewer that half of the threads I read. Mainly because usually the question has been answered and I’ve not got anything else to add.

Also, there’s very rarely topics that haven’t been done a dozen times before.

Why did you mention apple pie and custard?? I'm trying to lay off the desserts and I want apple pie and custard now.

Warm or cold custard?

Your just being kinky now aren't you

I think people who have cold custard are just plain weird.

I like it on fresh fruit salad "

That reminds me of my ex mother in law she used to give us cold custard and a tin of fruit salad,it's not my favour by a long shot, but grateful all the same.

I love it for the 18 months i had an unlimited perscription of the stuff life was pretty kuch pain free.

Although it really does affect your personality over time.and coming off it was like the toilet scene from train spotting fkr a week.

Oxy and tramadol work wonders but at this point its best for me to just not take opiates asi can only get them short term and they actually increase pain sensitivity so for chronic pain unless youre on them for life shirt bursts can make things feel worse

I post for my own entertainment, or to improve my own knowledge. Sometimes I hit a nerve, sometimes I don't. Sometimes I hit a sweet spot, sometimes i dont. Sometimes I'm prolific, sometimes I'm not. Ill post on any thread that catches my eye, be it silly, or serious.

I don't know or dislike any of you enough to avoid your posts, though I think I may in time and can understand why some may feel the same towards me.

I mean no harm though and if I'm getting on enough people's tits, I'm sure the lack of positive comments will let me know.

I'm not sure anyone else means any harm either, just trying to join in the fun.

After a very bad illness where I went down to under 8 stone I was drinking cold custard from the carton.

I don't know who posts or what, I'm more likely to post if I can counter a point, and less likely to post just agreeing with a post.

I don't avoid anyone. I like reading different things.

Yes. I avoid some threads by some posters. Not because of who they are, but more because I know they’ll be more serious and my personality doesn’t really belong in those type of discussions.

I also avoid some threads that are merely started for friends, you know the ones. I’m not against them, but the thread is more for them.

I’ll generally answer anyone though, if I think of blurting out.
