Some want to go to Kik right away. They are usually wankers with no intention of meeting.
I occasionally give one the benefit of the doubt but always end up blocking them.

I can understand couples wanting to do it - as it allows all three people to chat rather than one or the other of the couple being the main one messaging.
Don't see the need for two singles to do so though, unless they have got as far as agreeing to meet and Kik, What's App etc are used to keep in touch when en route to advise if running late etc |

its almost as if some are trying tohack your details by insisting kik or skype .
we have chat here , private messaging so best keep it here.
you wouldnt get a date on pof or tinder or match then say , hey lets go chat on fab .
keep it here incase there hacking or selling info  |

I think a lot of video and pic hunters go straight onto kik not all though I had a female supposedly suggesting I pay her for pics on kik off this site and got quite aggressive when I would not send videos I reported her though x |

One benefit of KIK is that your convos are stored under each persons username & not scattered amongst your other mails. I appreciate that you can click on an individual Fab Mail & the entire convo is there so long as you haven’t deleted any mails but it’s not as nicely laid out as in KIK.
Still weighing up the other pros/cons so I’ll come back to this. |

I don't know about the other two, but I do prefer talking on WhatsApp as I find it easier to use. Plus you can use things such as a full selection of emojis, gifs etc, which makes it a bit more fun and friendly.
Definitly don't try and move onto there immediately though, gotta chat a while and vet them before I give out my number lol |

Depends if they are verified.. And how long ago the last veri was.
If not verified then yeah.. Id ask them to verify via a different outlet such as kik or WhatsApp.
Anyone can photoshop a picture verification.
But they can't hide from a video call.
Some guys hold onto a verified joint account after they split from the girl i believe.
So if the last veri is very old id still ask for a vid call. |

I'm very protective of my number so WhatsApp is reserved for the special few.
Kik is more to chat with people I'm getting on well with and would like to chat randomly when neither of us are online here.
Otherwise it just stays here. |

Everyone I have met from here or clubs I chat to on KiK to keep in contact. It is a much more natural way for everyday chatting. For me
Fab messages = new contacts / not sure yet / maybe meet
KiK = swinger friends
WhatsApp & text = friends and family |

Discretion/Privacy is my reason to use the standalone chat apps. I don’t feel comfortable logging onto fab on the phone when I’m in public or groups or at work, worry someone may see my phone screen, whereas if they were to notice the chat apps it’s likely overlooked.

Guilty! But we do it so we can group chat and have the notifications. We find the notifications dont work with fab when away from wifi and we like to all be part of the convo, so all are on the same page. This way works for us.

Well from a male POV my message gets lost in hundreds in a woman’s inbox and might get missed and it’s not like people hang around on here all day. So trying to have a proper conversation can be tedious and slow here.
WhatsApp or Kik make it much easier, share pics vids and live cam.
But that’s just my experience |

I use Skype to voice chat with someone before I commit to meeting

From someone whose business is running an online community, the private messaging system here, even compared to other forums, is woefully inadequate.
Can't share photos or videos, can't share location, can't get notifications (other than via your mail app), the quoting system is rubbish. No ability to format text or save messages for later.
Say you want to tell someone you're at a pub for a social meet. Is this messaging system reliable enough for that? Hell no.
It's WhatsApp or Skype for me as they are simply better messaging applications. |
