"Ever say the wrong thing then regret it?
My problem is that I often open my mouth first and the words flow out " foot in mouth disease! I get that at times |

There and to the left a bit |
Putting my mouth in gear before my brain has got me into all sorts of problems in the past and although I try and be more careful these days there are still occasions when the words tumble out and I think afterwards "why the f*** did I say that?!" |

It’s more often that I TYPE the wrong thing and it’s taken the wrong way.
Or people decide to interpret it totally the wrong way based on their own prejudices, and then take offence or view what was said a certain negative way when that wasn’t the intent at all!
And then blame you when it’s actually their interpretation which is suspect!
That’s the trouble with the written word, there’s no reading of time of voice or body language. And depending on what mood the reader is in at the point of reading things can be interpreted very differently! |

"Ever say the wrong thing then regret it?
My problem is that I often open my mouth first and the words flow out " I often say the right thing and regret that too. Sometimes honesty isn't the right policy.

"And if my mouth doesn’t say it my facial expression certainly will! "
Now that I am guilty of! How I feel is usually written all over my face, I’m an open book in that respect.
I do tend to think quite carefully before saying things, but if I feel something needs to be said, I don’t shy away from it these days |

I sometimes blurt out things without thinking, but even if I don't, my thoughts are plastered all over my face anyway! I literally have no control
M on the other hand could make a career in poker if he knew how to play lol

I agree with that. Some people on occasions do decide to interpret things the wrong way and make it personal for their own reasons. It's all good, but things go from calm to ballistic. Especially in threads |

Another reason for me to avoid charged or loaded threads. Too many people lack the capacity to engage the brain before replying. |

I have a tendency to be my normal sarcastic self to people that I've only just met and then I'll think about what I've said later and worry if they took it as sarcasm or just think I'm a dickhead

Sometimes I do but not very often. I find that some people are very conscious of saying the wrong thing and go to great lengths to explain what they've said thereby digging themselves a hole they can never climb out of.
