I buy nail varnish like most people buy shoes on here.. I have trays of different colours red / navy / deep green /pink/ shocking pink /brown / the list goes on. I usually buy 4 or 6 bottles at a time from my local sally store (great bargain especially when they have Vat free days.) helps if you have a card too.I have always manicured my own nails so I feel the cost evens up over people spending 30 to 50 pounds on nails. my one desire is to have a pedicure... |

For a quick coat to make the hands look dressed so that I can wear my nicer rings, a silvery pearly colour.
For a formal occasion that requires the full war-paint job on the face, I would wear nail varnish to match the colour of my lipstick.

I am unable to grow my fingernails, have acylics or wear any nail polish at work so I never bother. Its a good job I've never been a fan of long nails.
I do paint my toe nails and I usually paint them green, to match the tattoo I have on my foot, black or silver |

Had acrylics for my hols last month but didn't want my nails to suffer so had then took off this week but had grown enough I can still paint them. Plus I'm lowe maintenance so can't keep up with having them filled
Don't like pale colours on me just dont work. Deep bold colours all the time. |

When my nails are in good nick (not at the mo) I use 5 different pastel shades in pinks, blues and mauve and I think that looks quite good and I've been complimented on them several times |

I've lots of colours and recently discovered the OPI crackle.
You paint you base colour on and then put one coat of the crackle
It dries leaving the top colour on with streaks of the underlying base colour |
