Random query/question
I don't have an opinion either way I am just curious.
So on dating apps and men message saying they want alt girls but not to date.. they are their fantasy. A girl to fuck but one you can't take home to mum. A number of my mates say similar.
Why is this? I mean surely you're with someone yes initially based on attraction then it becomes about the person. I mean a book will still be the same book no matter what the cover so why is it so much of a no no?
Or are you the opposite and found love/happiness because you're alternative (would love to hear if you have) |

They should want you for you, whether you or alternate or not.
If they won’t take you home to meet Mum then they are not worth it.

I totally agree, I'm sure id fine it near impossible to meet someone off here to have more than just fun with. From my experience, you're something different and a bit of a kink. Unless it's also with an "alternative guy but i haven't found many on here! |

I agree, I don't see the difference between someone that you would meet and someone that you would 'take home'.
Personally I like the alt look but I wouldn't differentiate between the two. I think it's a question of respect and expectation on the part of the person making that choice |

I used to date an alt girl, still great friends so I know it's not all crazy and kink. Definitely genuinely attracted to the style. |

Surely its subjective and depends on the person involed.
I always understood "alt" as a women who will carve her own path. This is much more attractive than a women who jumps on any "popular" craze just to fit in.

I think it's subjective too... what's alt for one may not be for another. I think the stereotype associated with tattoos is out dated as men with tattoos aren't classed as #alt |

I think for a lot of people alt girls are a brilliant fantasy and they are great to date. But as someone who dated an alt girl in college and brought her back to my boring as mud friends and some of my family there were some issues. Some lads will say fuck those who don't understand, others don't want the hassle. I know this isn't a great answer but it's from my own experience. Still worth it though |

I found a lot of 'normal (boring)' looking guys did this. They fetishized he fuck out of tattooed women.
The only guys who were good for dating were ones heavily tattooed themselves, or were unconventional physically, or guys who don't give a fuck and really love women for who they are.
I think most boring men prefer more boring women aesthetically. And that's not a criticism on anyone who looks boring, everyones enitled to their preferences. I just never could understand why they'd think someone who looks like me would be interested in them? |

I suppose it depends on your definition of alt?
I’ve always struggled as I find that I have most in common with alt girls but then I am very non-alt looking myself. No tats, no piercings, no crazy hair. As a result I’m often not what they’re looking for.
I imagine the not dating alt girls thing arises from the “ alt girl crazy” stereotype.

Seems a very tame description in this modern day, so many young people and older white dye there hair and dress differently making the "alt description" obsolete
My appearance at times could be classed as "alt" however I wouldn't say I was in the slightest, though far from boring I think it is all subjective to the individual.
For me "alt" is participating in fetish activities and lifestyles just a thought.

Lol. Ok I'm getting the idea. Basically, probably similar to woman. Men see a women snd they will be put into different categories. These range from potential bring home to mum to a girl that just makes you think hardcore porn. I don’t know how you can fall for someone simply by looks, or even think you could start a relationship because you fancy them. To me your a nice person because of who you are not what makeup or clothing you wear.
I have a thing for the alt look, also a thing for lots of different looks, but it is mainly who the person is that would have me swiping left or right if that makes sense?
