see we were talking about it and some people were mortally offended.....
I don't have an issue with it...
otherwise no one would ever scout anyone.....
the only slight variation i would make is if the person was on private land or public land at the time....

"It's it really anything new?
The only thing new is the fact he admitted to doing it"
I agree. He did admit it and no, it’s not new but at the no it seems to to make front page headlines in the papers and is also on the news, before the sports bit !
I am sure Ferguson did much worse for man Utd but he is classed as a diety .
I am not sure it is even a break of any rule from what I read. |

Apparently they didn’t or couldn’t charge him with anything because of the fact that he was on a common walkway and was in no way trespassing so even that, as you say, would have been the only issue and he wasn’t on any private land. |

well if he was on public land then i don't have an issue.... if you want to keep something super secret keep it indoors....

This spying in football is very common over in South America where the Leeds manager comes from but he wasn't to know that it isn't acceptable here in England and he has said he wont be doing it again. |

"Interesting press conference last night!
Its been revealed Leeds have been spying on all their Championship opponents this season.
Should they be allowed to get away with it?" yes no law against it |

"If pep guardiola did it he’d be a genius it’s not against the rules so he hasn’t done anything wrong maybe the fa should look at the same old divers salah Ali Ashley young etc etc "
How about the spying being unfair though and the ethics and morality of it?..Isn't it just wrong? |

How about the spying being unfair though and the ethics and morality of it?..Isn't it just wrong?" all clubs have dossiers on other clubs and videos on how they play so some bloke watching over a fence I don’t think is to bad obviously it worked for Leeds maybe more clubs should be honest I can’t see the difference between a scout going to another club watching a player |

"There’s no rules broken and lets face it frank lampards derby was took to school both games.
would you be happy though if you were a Derby fan?...I wouldn't!"
I am a Derby fan, and the fact is that our training ground is behind closed doors, if it was an open training session, then that would have been a different matter entirely. |

As others have said, if you don't want to be seen then don't train where you can be watched from public land... the fact that the individual allegedly had pliers with them clouds things slightly but as they didn't appear to have been used and he hadn't gained access to a public area then what's the problem.
If you don't want to be watched, plant some trees etc |

Leeds have not broken any FA rules so they have done nonething wrong. If the FA plan to change the rules how would that work with open training sessions that clubs have to encourage a sense of community in the area. |

Even if the spy didn't use the pliers he still had them on him so could be charged with intent and being equipped!
A bit like when burglars get stopped by the police and they find their tools on them. |

Lets just hope Leeds go on and win the championship, There is more corruption in football that goes unoticed than you can imagine, if this had been any other club it would have been swept under the carpet by now.
Who says Leeds utd arnt a big club any more ? Thats why they have had more press coverage in the last week than Man utd Liverpool and the rest of the big name clubs put together.. MOT to the premier league |

The media are always picking on West Ham also so if it had been us caught spying we would be on the front and back pages of the paper! |

I don't spying on other teams in England has been common in the past but certainly in other countries in Europe and in South America. |
