MacDonalds Boy Racer Crews!

Jump to: Newest in thread

Not the most exciting thread to start the day. But does every MacDonalds have it's own boy racer crew? You know, the types that hang about all night, revving their engines in their pathetic modified Corsas that sound as though they could blow up at any minute. Or is it only my local MacDo's that is graced by these nutjobs?

I thought that had pretty much died out when my generation grew out of it. Vauxhall Novas, Corsas, Citreon Saxos, Ford Fiestas and VW Golfs and Polos with ridiculous body kits, loud exhausts, sunstrip stickers, dropped suspension, massive sound systems and huge whale tail spoilers were the dream of all lads of my age when we were late teens/early 20's, you don't see it anywhere near as much now barring a handful of enthusiasts.

We have them - the car park they choose to use has speed bumps so they can only put their foot down between bumps or they'd take the floor of the car off

all loved up

No we have several car clubs that meet up near us. And mostly there are some great cars. But all car meets end up at the drive through after lol.

I once got a ticket for being in an illegal convoy as 3 of us in the same sort of car ended up at the same McDonald's. Funny thing is we had never even met before.

But Nottingham police were really cracking down on modified cars at the time.

Back in the day I had a Renault 5 GT turbo with huge chunky alloys, interior LED lights fitted on a dodgy direct feed to the battery, an amplifier and dustbin lid sized speakers on the parcel shelf, Kenwood sticker across the windscreen, basically like the ones on the Ali G film. I thought I was ace in it

sparkle Surprised

We're i live they don't it's on the high street and when you can drive down the evening it's always patrolled by police as they use it to get to some of the pubs..

Boyracing is hardly seen now compared to the 90s oh and the speed camera right in the middle of the road they liked going down

I loved going to them, in my Ford escort XR3I with an RS Turbo engine. Such a shame that the floor was rotten lol. Don't see many little car meets like there used to be. We used to go to a retail park in pontefract, I'd get a vanilla milkshake every Sunday day night there lol

same here I have had many great drives out and ended at mcdonalds. As you get older the cars get more exciting and its so much fun seeing the corsa brigade trying to show off in front of you

funny true story about a Renault 5 turbo. A friend and I had organised a gb in a room. Basically no one had turned up. So we were trawling through fab. A guy answered and said he was in the McDonald's drive through. And we should look as he had the best car there.

We looked out a I spotted a Renault 5 turbo and said well for me you would be in the r5 turbo but he wasn't he was just in a merc... not sure he was to impressed with the fact I rated the Renault over his car.
