Next question. What is a JCB licence? "

Dont think they even exist these days, but when I was a lad you could take your tractor test at 16 and drive on the road, there was a sepperate one for trailers. then there was the JCB back hoe opperators license you needed that to take one on the road. or to hire yourself out as a jcb opperator.

I suspect you have to be 21 now and have lots of certificates in unrelated stuff...

As far as I know. 16 year olds can still drive a tractor on the road with a provisional licence.

Don't think there has ever been a licence to drive a digger. But you must have CPCS to be insured to be on site. Just bullshit.
