Just been woken up by 2 para medics. Fell asleep on the living room floor. My kids came round to stay the weekend and found me laying there and foaled 999. How red faced was I when I was worked.
You've got to love them lol |

i cant believe that an 18 year old didnt try to wake you!
as someone else said lets hope nobody really was in an emergency situation and required that ambulance |

"nice of them to dial 999, but common sense would have at least kicked in to try and wake you
heaven forbid someone actually needed that ambulance "
I wouldn't even say it was nice. At best it was niave. Ok it's not on a par with some of the really stupid 999 calls that get reported occassionally but it's still more than a little cringeworthy.
That said, they presumaby didn't waste paramedics time, just the control room operators who would have instructed them to check he was breathing, commence CPR etc... |

"oh i agree. they got a right talking to by the para medics and then me after to.
think i'll book them on a first aid basic course."
Compared to the hundreds of calls they get on 999 wishing them happy new year every year , this is 'understandable?' lol |

I'm confused. If you call 999 and report someone as unresponsive they don't just send paramedics out to the scene. They talk the caller through a number of stages. They tell you how to check a pulse, if need be they even talk the caller through CPR until paramedics arrive? |
