According to some of the news sites online the Governments Digital Economy Act 2017 which includes the part requiring all ISPs to filter/block porn sites unless there is age verification looks like it could be in from April 2019.
Was supposed to come in last year but it was pulled to work out problems.
Still not clear how age verification would be done though. Suggestions range from credit/bank card details to having to obtain specific software to even getting a porn licence.

Um... but every kid lives with an adult. And those adults will definitely get their ISP to unblock porn (except for those husbands that are under the thumb).
So it’s not going to protect anyone. |

I agree to an extend but
It's the job of the parents to set up protection for their kids. There are already plenty of tools out there that do exactly this.
Gouvernment meddling in things yet again, controlling things that they have no need to control. Just like the EU and article 13
Vpn will probably make it a none issue anyway.
