"I feel myself regularly, and it always feels good
does that count? He he i think it might just count. "
And I find feeling other people has the same effect of making me feel good.
Does that count too? |

2012 has been really happy and positive, that was tested yesterday but we take it on the chin and look forward.
Last year was very trying for the pair of us and are well rid and have learned from the experience.

Feeling good in general, but still have a few health/hospital issues that need to be sorted. But not on the scale they were this time last year thankfully.
And got quite a lot to look forward to this year x |

2011 was a huge adjustment that saw some lows at the beginning and just got better as I found myself again after years of denial with a lot of help from Rhett. 2012 is going to be the year we put our plans in motion. Watch out world

Good days and bad days. There have always been good and bad days though, in the past bad days massively outweighed the bad, but the tide has turned.
lLast year was a year of massive adjustment for me. 2010 I was heading towards being an alcoholic, I was suffering with ridiculous levels of anxiety and paranoia and in a job I loathed. Thankfully having made a conscious decision to stop drinking at the end of 2010 but finding it difficult to do so, I subsequently suffered a huge wake up call by getting hit by a car in February in 2011. Made me realise how fragile it all is and that huge changes were needed. So I started racing bikes again, started running, stopped drinking, quit my job, left London and moved in with Boho-J, landed an amazing job (still no idea how!).
So when I look at what I achieved last year there is no way I can, or would want to match that this year. And if I wasnlt having the odd bad day, to be honest I'd be worried. So yeah things are pretty good. |

I had a good cry at Eastenders last night and feel much better today, funny how a good cry can make someone feel better. Im ready to tackle 2012 and whatever else it chucks at me. |

I actually feel better about myself these last few months than I have done in years. Funnily enough it's coincided with our return to the land of swing. This lifestyle does wonders for your self esteem!! |

Pretty good at the moment - just done 30 miles on my mtb through some beautifully frozen countryside, plus i threw in an extra 1000ft climb at the end that was worth it for the _iew
Thing is, whilst i was stood at the top admiring the _iew i thought to myself "this is what it is actually all about, being out in the hills on a stunning day and all your cares diminish to the size they really are, not the size you allow them to be". |

I'm always seem to be in jovial spirits, partly down to deluded optimism and partly to be bloody minded toward the spiteful hateful peoples.
plus the odd bit of philosiphy sometimes help to reevaluate life.
"So many people live within unhappy circumstances and yet will not take the initiative to change their situation because they are conditioned to a life of security, conformity, and conservatism, all of which may appear to give one peace of mind, but in reality nothing is more dangerous to the adventurous spirit within a man than a secure future. The very basic core of a man's living spirit
is his passion for adventure. The joy of life comes from our encounters with new experiences, and hence there is no greater joy than to have an endlessly changing horizon, for each day to have
a new and different sun."

We have some nice mtb playgrounds around here, rode up an 800ft climb to do some singletrack, dropped into the Calder Valley and did the big climb out the other side before heading home via some great downhill singletrack stuff - mixture of frozen mud, pointy rocks and slick ice so a bit 'skittery'.
Keep thinking about a cross bike but i've already got 4 bikes and i'm running out of room... |

Cross bikes are great fun. And from a handling point of _iew it makes you concentrate, but if I lived up there I'd not bother with one. Down here we simply don;t have hills - I see guys on full sussers and just wonder why they want the extra weaight, particularly when I overtake them when I'm descending LOL |

Confidence wise, I am fairly, I'm happy with my appearance, my ability etc, yes there are lots of things that could be better, I am imperfect in lots of ways. You have to love yourself and happy within yourself as what's the alternative, depression over certain things you can't change. Acceptance is the key, of your positives and mindful of the negatives |
