Does anyone do it? Been getting a bit more interested in skin care routines as I'm getting older and been watching some vids about it on YouTube.
Just wondered if anyone else did it and what the effects were? |

What is it?
Is it like exfoliating or showing with a brush on a stick thing?
I tried one of the brushes on a stick thing fell apart after a few uses.
Homesense crap, whoever thought it was a good idea to make a wooden brush held together with just an interference fit wedge when its going to be used in a wet environment needs shooting. (I stupidly assumed it was glued or doweled) |

"It's brushing your body with a brush
Think you're meant to do it dry as it encouraged blood flow and restorative things (it's all a bit techy for 8:40 in the morning lol) "
Ah ive only tried the wet kind, dry sounds painful.
I think any brush stiff enough to "scrub" dry skin is going to just leave you red and anything soft enough to be comfortable isn't going to remove anything dry

You're not meant to use a scourer lol |

Dry brushing is best before shower or bathing. Cuts back and improves on celulute - so circulation on the upper thighs is improved dramatically! Also, the texture of the skin is a lot smoother...
I do the routine at least 3/4 times a week. |

You must be more practical than me,I had someone lying in the back yard whilst their partner gave them a good scrub with the yard brush |

It’s one of these things I always intend to do, but never quite manage. I have this idea that I’ll body brush, then have a long hot shower and leave the conditioner on my hair for a wee while and waft about looking all lovely, but in reality I sleep in most mornings, fall in and out of the shower usually without having washed all my shampoo out and look like a bag of shite.....! |

Well if you'd like me to come round with couple of tins of Dulux you could end up being a masterpiece and sold to some Saudi prince at Sotheby's for millions |

I tried it for a while but didn't really notice much difference other than I had to get up earlier to make time for it. Hence the reason I don't do it now. |

Supposed to be good to help combat some cellulite and good for blood circulation |

Its not the same I know but I use a shower scrunchie with a long handle all over in the morning. My skin is very soft but I don't if that's due to this, the aloe vera body lotion I use or my oily skin. |

I tried it a few times with a round handheld brush whilst in the shower..it's supposed to get the circulation going but is also quite good for exfoliation too..
Leaves your skin lovely and smooth |

It was done as an experiment on one of the TV health programs recently as a way to combat cellulite.
It was up against some vibrating treatment and some really expensive gel..
Apparently brushing was the most effective at reducing signs of cellulite..
There obviously is something in it as it has been done for hundreds of years.. it wouldn't last the test of time if it had bugger all effect.. |

I've seen a few backs at clubs that could possibly benefit from this...........

I use a dry brush to do my arms and legs but not every day.
It does get rid of the layer of dead skin on the top, the rising cloud is testament to that! Arms and legs go red (normal response) and after a shower, my skin is softer and stays soft.
Handy for ‘chicken skin’ and ingrowing hairs too.

That would have been a sensible idea, stupidly i threw the handle out and just use the head as a handbrush to scrub sealant off me |

I've tried it in the past but like most boring routines have never managed to stick to it. Can't say I noticed much difference but as with most things, if it makes you feel good, do it |
