Poor bloke relied on the audience to help him out on who wants to be a millionaire . Choice of 2 answers , 81% say tinker , tailor , soldier , spy and 19% say Dracula is the book that starts with the sentence shown , and they’re wrong . He goes home with £93,000 less than he would have done if he’d taken the money .

The key to ask the audience it to only ask when you've go no clue. Don't make suggestions, don't tell them what you think... and certainly don't do 50/50 first.

Beyond the shadows.

He should have taken the money. The audience would have never know that answer.

That does lend itself to the tone of Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy! I can see why the audience got it wrong tbh! I probably would too!

It was obviously Dracula, the line is a diary entry on his way to Transalvania.....

It wasn't 'obviously' Dracula to everyone who hasn't read it. I've read hundreds of books, yet Dracula isn't one of them. My first thought was TTTS!

Don't know how many I've applied to & never get picked

But when the audience have already been steered towards one answer by the contestant the result isn't even a fair guess. They were always going to conclude that the contestant was probably right.
