I think
1. These people need to feel validated
2. They want to try and change your mind
I always prefer getting a no thanks than a total ignore, to me it's just polite (but I understand why it's not common and am fine with it). I'll never question somebody why though
1. I'll probably not like the reason why haha
2. That's their business and preference, not my place to question why. |

Most of the time we simply delete the message and allow that to do the talking for us.
The rest of the time we say no its because the person clearly hasn't read our profile in the first place, and we tell them so when we decline the offer to meet.

I think some people can’t believe they could possibly be rejected while others can’t take no for an answer.Or as others have said don’t understand the OP’s requirements. No one has a duty to meet anyone if they don’t want to ! |

"Yep. I don’t bother explaining why anymore.
Harsh but practical, else you would be spending more time explaining than having fun."
How is it harsh? I can say no without a reason |

"Whenever I get asked why I'm so curious to know why they think."
Brilliant idea! Instead of explaining, we should ask them why *they* think we turned them down. |

"It like you don't have a freedom of choice .. how dare you turn them down!!"
It's a swinging site. Swingers are legally bound to fuck everyone who asks. Or else they get kicked out of the Swingers Guild and have to spend an eternity wanking alone in a dark room. |

Some blokes get so little attention, that they want to keep the conversation going for as long as possible, string it out, you throw them a bone they will run with it. Everyone knows the reason why someone’s not interested and if you don’t you respect that decision anyway. |

Surely its because some people are fragile/ low on confidence so need to see what they could have done differently or could change about themselves, or even persuade you otherwise?
I do wonder if some people are ready/ prepared for this kind of site sometimes, can be quite damaging I'm sure. |

I usually get "Oh, how come?" when I say "No, sorry, I'm not interested."
I used to reply to that before and got nasty responses.
I don't answer that anymore. |

I’ve definitely experienced that. They just keep on and on about why and begging for a chance and trying to change my mind but put lol at the end in an effort to make it sound less desperate. I’ve stopped replying now. |
