Have you overachieved in life having been told you'd never do anything with your life or under achieved having been told the worlds your oyster.

Lighthearted thread as bring happy is achieving something great in itself.

I was told if be in jail by the career guy but I've done ok I think

Probably somewhere in the middle. I could've maybe pushed myself to a better career but I like the one I chose so I'm happy.

I've been successful and had money, it's not all its made out to be. Its much better in my mind to find the right balance that allows you to enjoy things.

I'm probably underachieving at the moment but things on the whole are better than working 70 hours a week and being miserable

I told my teacher I was gonna leave school and prize fight.

I left school and did just that.

I saw my teacher not long ago, I had great pleasure in telling I did exactly as I told her I would do.

I think she was shocked to find out what I do now.

I’m going with over achieved from my teachers point of view.

Underachieved. Thanks to my school guidance teacher who told me i would never make it into Med school.

It only took me 10 yrs at uni and three degrees to realise I could in fact have studied medicine. My only regret is I didn't figure this out until I had completed my Phd. Grrr.

I've over achieved in some things ie running my own business, employing 5 people and successful sporting hobbies and I'm very happy with life.

Where I've under achieved is financial. Always earnt money (quite a bit occasionally) but I never have any. As for financial planning, don't ask!

I think my career guidance guy at school had it in for me when I asked him what did he really want to be when he left school

I’m here after being told I was worthless during my childhood and having no parental input until my late teens.

I’m an over achiever and proud.
